About a month ago, I started talking with a friend of mine, Curse, who introduced me to a group of other Minecraft YouTubers, who you will likely be seeing in some of my later videos! The reason he had us all join a groupchat together was the one reason that I'm making this blog entry:
WEEKLY VIDEOS
That's right! For the first time in my channels history, I will officially be commited to making videos on a weekly basis! Of course, this does not mean the quality of my videos will be decreased at all (infact, it might actually increase!). With this community of other dedicated YouTubers around me, I'll likely learn plenty of useful techniques when making videos, and can share some of my techniques with them!
The reason I decided to start doing weekly videos was to be part of a friendly competition. Curse and one of his other YouTuber friends had originally been doing a 1v1 competition to see who could make videos every week most consistently. But along the way, he had asked me directly if I had wanted to join in on the competition, and wanting to up my YouTube game, I of course agreed.
Shortly after however, I was abruptly put into a groupchat with him and some other YouTubers, as I mentioned earlier. I was more than okay with this though, since I have been wanting to have some other YouTuber friends I could collaborate with, so this was perfect!
With a connected group of creators, and a date set into place, the four of us had agreed that we will all start posting weekly videos starting February 1st. And you might think that this wouldn't fit with the schedule I had laid out in my latest YouTube community post, BUT... While I may have said that I wanted to post 2 times a month (something I won't be able to do in this scenario), I also said that I would want it to only be atleast "every other week", meaning that since February 1st is on a saturday, it still fits in with my original schedule! I'm still keeping to my word, and even over-delivering on my word by uping the quantity of uploads!
